NGS Emergency QuestEmergency Quests are large-scale quests happening at-random in all Regions of the game. They're large-scale operations against Raid-Type bosses or other types of long missions. Fights against them tend to be longer battles, so make sure you have the time needed to take them on.

Clearing them tends to give a clear reward N-Meseta N-Meseta and other items such as Ability Capsule (NGS) Ability Capsules and rare Mineral (NGS) Ores, along with any drops they'll gather along the way.

Emergency Quest Generation

Emergency Quests have a chance to be generated at 15 minutes before a full hour. If it occurs, an EQ annoucement will be signaled in all regions, along with the location of the emergency quest being put on the World Map. The skies will also turn red at the point of the mission start.

The annoucement you get is the annoucement for the region you are currently in, changing the region will annouce the EQ for that region. If you are in the section where EQ is being held, a big marker will be shown as well.

This will override currently played lobby or section music with an unique EQ theme. However, a boss battle will override the EQ theme.

Once the 15 minutes of preperation are up, the EQ's are now able to be started, along with a new annoucement and skies becoming vortex red, along with unique SFX.

The Emergency Quest can be started within 30 minutes. Once the EQ ends, the icons disappear, ending annoucement is played and all activites return to normal. Should you still be in matching at the time of EQ finishing, the game will automatically cause a force-start situation to occur, with all parties having to decide in 60 seconds to either start or leave matching.

Even if EQ will finish after the time allowed to start, the quest will be allowed to continue and all EQ effects will continue to apply. Once players complete an EQ, a Clear Limit will go down to all active EQ's, not just the one you have completed. This means it is impossible to do all four EQ's back-to-back.

Once an EQ is over, another one cannot generate for a bit, it must be at least 2 full hours between starts of emergency quests. On average, EQ's occur every 3 hours or so, with maximum allowed time between EQ's being 5 hours. In addition, an EQ cannot occur 2 hours before scheldued maintainance time.

Live Concerts

15 minutes before a full hour, instead of Emergency quest, a Live Concert might be annouced. This will also be annouced in all sections. While a concert will occur in only 1 ARKS Base, it can be watched from any Base with usage of monitors.

The concerts last a given amount of time. Once the concert ends, everyone who was inside an ARKS Base at the time concert was finished will be granted +10% Tri-Boost. You do not have to watch the entire concert to be given a Live Boost buff.

Once concert ends, the EQ will occur almost immidetaly after at 15 min to half hour, with all of the rules mentioned above, with exception that it can override the maintainance lock.

There are following concerts being held:

Emergency Quest Types

There are a few types of EQ's that can happen throughout the sections.

  • Major EQ's: Those are fights against bosses that you cannot fight otherwise in the open world setting, with 1 hour time limit. Heavly scripted, features many unique attacks, multiple HP Bars and other conditions. Oftentimes despite having a spot on World Map, the fights usually take place on a unique area at least for one of the phases of fight. Their clear rewards give 20k N-Meseta N-Meseta on S Rank, and boss tends to drop all of the other Boss Soul capsules at least once.
  • Minor EQ's: Those are fights against Battlefield Overseer type DOLLS, which are variants on the original enemy, with dull white armor, which feature higher HP then before, potentially new attack patterns, etc. They tend to award 10k N-Meseta N-Meseta on S-Rank. Those can be futher split into two subtypes:
    • VS Boss where you are spawn instantly into the boss arena and fight with him starts as soon as possible
    • Dungeon + Boss where you have to fight through a dungeon with mobs and bosses along the way. They oftentimes feature trials you must clear to proceed.
  • Defence EQ's: Those are EQ's where your job is to protect Mining Rigs before they're destroyed from a massive horde of enemies with some help of gimmicks like Mobile Cannons. They tend to be the longest EQ's of the bunch, but they can reward some handsome money due to amount of mobs required to kill. They tend to on clear give 15k N-Meseta on S-Rank. Reffer to Mining Rig Defense page on how Defence EQ's operate.

Emergency Quest Mechanics

There are a few mechanics you have to be aware of to do well in Emegency Quests

For all types

During EQ's, there is a form of a passive automatic revival. Once you are incapacitated, along with regular Half-Doll/Scape-Doll revival methods or just waiting for a Reverser Sign revive, a 30 second respawn timer will start running. After 30 seconds, you can revive with full HP on the spot, however this will count against your Incapacitation Bonus and the death therefore will be recorded if it's being tracked.

Futhermore, the end amount of N-Meseta does count towards ranking. Every quest has a diffirent way of scaling down your N-Meseta rewards if you get lower ranks. However, other rewards are unaffected.(with exception of Defence EQ's)

For Major and Minor EQ's

First off, during a boss battle against the main enemy of the EQ, which is always an Enemy Subjugation Trial, the HP of the boss is visible in full, so you know how close he is to dying. Below the HP bar is the Down Gauge, depleting it to 0 will cause a BREAK to occur, during which you will deal double damage to the boss. Some bosses however might be in super-armor state, this is indicated that the Break bar is greyed out and not moving. During those phases of fight, you cannot deplete Down Gauge and any potential BREAK's are delayed until the phase concludes.

Secondly, you are being ranked on 3 requirements:

  • Enemy Defeat Ranking: This accumulates on you killing enemies. You must be not incapacitated for a kill to count towards this ranking. Worth 400 quest points.
  • Clear Time: This checks you on time required to clear the mission. Worth 300 points if S rank time is reached, otherwise it goes down 1 point per second.
  • Incapacitation Bonus: This checks on amount of time you have had to use Revive Here option. This does not track any other revivals. If you did not use it it's 300 points, -100 points per Revive Here.

This creates the basis on which you are ranked at. You need all of the quest points to be at max value (indicated by a yellow PERFECT at the requirement) to get the S rank. 701-999 points is A rank, 501-700 is B rank, anything lower then that is C rank.

On drops side, along with anything the EQ gives you, the boss you kill also gives Ability Capsule (NGS) C/Boss Soul I-IV ×2(each roll is seperate). If it's a Minor EQ on level 35+, you will also get Stragments for that EQ. If it's a major EQ, all Ability Capsule (NGS) C/Boss Soul capsules released up to this point will drop once as well. On top of that you get all of the EXP, N-Meseta and drops from mobs and bosses you killed along the way.
