Hunter is a returning class in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.
Class Weapon Overview
Sword
A large broadsword used for heavy melee strikes. What it lacks in speed, it makes up for in raw damage. The Sword is a jack-of-all-trades weapon, possessing utility in almost any situation and being capable in a variety of areas, however, its attack range is lacking.
Using the Guard Weapon Action, you can block attacks and negate their damage when Guarding right before the attack hits you.
Class Mechanics
New Mechanic: Fifth Normal
The Sword features up to 5 continuous normals with the fifth normal being as strong as a Photon Art.
New Mechanic: Just Guard Counterattack
Pressing the normal attack button after a successful Just Guard with a Sword will immediately activate the Fifth normal attack.
New Mechanic: Step Counterattack
After successfully dodging through an attack with a Step, a unique counterattack can be performed by pressing the normal attack button right after the Step, similar to Hero Sword counters.
