Story

Battle

The battle against the Erythron Dragon is split into two phases.

General Battle Notes

  • Weakness: Ice
  • Enemy Class: Demon
  • Uses the following attacks:
    • Swipes at the ground near it with its claws.
    • Spits a blast of fire at the ground it's standing on. Deals damage at close range.
    • Sweeps its head while spraying fire.
    • Flaps its wings to push players back, then summons fireballs all around it. Also summons smaller fireballs at players' positions to target them.
    • Periodically summons small whirlwinds of fire below players, indicated by a ground-based target marker.
    • Sweeps with its tail.
  • Weak points will begin to appear on Erythron Dragon, glowing blue. Players with the Laconium Sword must attack the blue weak points to break them, turning them orange. Once a weak point has been turned orange, it can be damaged normally by all players. Inflicting enough damage to an orange weak point will destroy it.

Phase 1

  • Upon reaching the citadel, the Erythron Dragon immediately engages in combat. Players start the fight by targeting and attacking the Erythron Dragon's feet. Once enough damage is sufficiently dealt, the Laconium Sword will appear, enabling players to approach and break its weak points. Up to three Laconium Swords can appear at once.
  • Initially, only a weak point on its chest will appear. Destroying the weak point on its chest will stun it briefly and cause a weak point on one of its wings to appear. Once the Dragon is no longer stunned, it will take to the skies, out of the reach of players. Players must board the cannons at the edge of the citadel and begin firing at the Dragon.
  • During the flying phase, the Erythron Dragon will fire fireballs at the players on the ground. These can be destroyed with cannon fire or blocked by players with the Laconium Sword.
  • After a certain period of time, the Erythron Dragon will stop and charge a massive fireball. Players must destroy the giant fireball with cannon fire while deflecting additional fireballs.
  • Destroying the giant fireball will cause the Erythron Dragon to land on the edge of the citadel, where its wings can be attacked. Weak points will appear on the wings, which can be broken and attacked as with all other weak points.
  • This phase will repeat until both wing weak points are destroyed, after which the Erython Dragon will retreat farther into the citadel to start Phase 2.
  • If the giant fireball is not destroyed, it will strike the citadel for 3 hits of fatal damage. Erythron Dragon will automatically transition into Phase 2 if this occurs.

Phase 2

  • The Erythron Dragon increases in power and aggression during this phase. It otherwise exhibits similar behavior to Phase 1.
  • If the giant fireball was not destroyed in Phase 1, players must attack the Erythron Dragon's feet again to deplete its HP. Weak points will not appear until sufficient damage is dealt.
  • A weak point on the Dragon's head and tail will appear; destroying the tail weak point will stun the Dragon briefly, allowing players to attack the head. Afterwards, pairs of weak points will appear periodically on the Dragon's legs; destroying two weak points will cause another stun.
  • After the Erythron Dragon has taken a certain amount of damage, it will fly up and attempt to fly across the stage twice. Being struck by this attack inflicts lethal damage. After the attack is performed, battle resumes as normal.
  • When the Erythron Dragon's HP drops low enough, it will begin to glow red and perform its ultimate attack. During the attack, the Erythron Dragon will take to the skies once more and light most of the arena ablaze, restricting movement to a small area near the edge of the citadel. It will attempt to ram the stage twice for massive damage, then unleash a storm of fireballs all across the field.
  • Once its ultimate attack is over, battle resumes as normal, and the weak point on the Dragon's head appears once more. 12 Laconium Swords appear on the stage during this part of the fight. Continue attacking until the Dragon is defeated.
