A.I.S., Arks Interception Silhouette, are ARKS powerful mecha to fight difficult bosses or turn the tide of the battle in Mining Base Defense. AIS default animation is wielding sword whilst the assault rifle is on right shoulder and switches when using assault rifle, the Photon Blaster attachement is on the back of the AIS. AIS are white by default but will change colour depending on player's costume colour.

General Action

  • Movement key: Moves AIS.
  • Jump action: Space Bar - AIS does not jump, holding this will make the AIS ascend into the air. To jump, use Overboost.
  • Evade or dash - Consumes PP while dashing or evading.
  • Auto-run - Performs Evade or Dash action, consumes PP.

Attack Action

AIS weapons are not customisable and these weapons equipped on AIS by default:

  • Assault Rifle: Left click - Regenerates PP on successful hit. Shoots in 5 round bursts.
    • In mining base related quests, you can shoot your own towers to regenerate your PP.
  • AIS Sword: Right click - Consume 15 PP for each normal slash.
    • The 1st and 2nd swing do approximately the same damage as 4 assault rifle bullets.
    • Every 3rd hit is far stronger (about 4x the damage) than usual. This 3rd hit's animation is an overhead swing.
    • This "hit number" is counted with your assault rifle usage as well. Thus, you can shoot your assault rifle once or twice and follow up with only the 3rd strongest hit.
  • AIS Launcher: Shift + Left click - Fires 3 missiles from grenade launcher attachment on the assault rifle which homes onto selected target, consumes 55 PP.
  • AIS Forward Stab: Shift + Right click - Dash forward with sword, follows up with a slash, consumes 70 PP.

Using AIS has time limit of 120 seconds in these quest:

No time limit on AIS usage:

  • Unleashed Prestige Phase 2
  • Annihilator's Purification

Enemies variant

There is a darker infected version of AIS, AIS Exodas, appearing in Mining Base Demise and Necky's Challenge. AIS Exodas upon appearing will prepare to charge Photon Blaster, targeting the towers and can be stopped by destroying the gun however this causes it to move around shortly and attacking players or AIS. AIS Exodas can be downed on fours by breaking the legs and exposing it back without moving for short duration, if not able to kill the AIS Exodas in time, it will get up and proceed attacking players or AIS.

Notes

  • A.I.S. makes an appearance in PSO2: The Animation Episode 12 flying in and clearing out Darkers with ease from the air, combining Photon Blaster into one powerful beam. Unfortunately the AISes are destroyed instantly by Dark Falz Apprentice shortly after landing.
  • In the Unleashed Prestige quest, PP regenerates while you are in the air as well. This is not the case for any other quest with an AIS appearance at this time.
  • AIS are affected by both Shifta and Zanverse techniques. This is put to best use during any Mining Base related quests, as others can Shifta and Zanverse you.
  • In Annihilator's Purification, it is possible to apply Shifta on AISes though only three ticks will be applied due to boarding the AIS. The caster must not be inside the teleporter and charge Shifta outside till the countdown appears on screen then walks into teleporter before countdown ends.
