This weapon's Potential has the following effects:
- This weapon starts in its "sealed" form. When a Just Guard is successfully performed, the seal breaks and unveils its "unsealed" form. Both forms of Akatsuki have different effects.
  - "Fu" (Sealed):
    - Player's HP regenerates over time.
    - Sword Gear accumulates automatically as long as the weapon is unsheathed.
    - Knockback taken is reduced.
  - "In" (Unsealed):
    - Damage inflicted is increased.
    - PP consumption is decreased.
This weapon is a combination of the Akatsuki Fu and Akatsuki In, both Swords that originally appeared in Phantasy Star Zero. Furthermore, it is considered a counterpart of the Yonohate, which is wielded in-story by Regius of the Council of Six and also debuted in Phantasy Star Zero.
