Loading Tips are tidbits containing useful information that are displayed during loading screens in Phantasy Star Online 2.
Main Lobby
Loading Tips |
---|
While Premium is active, you can hold up to 40 Client Orders. |
There is a higher chance for adding an ability to succeed when more of the same abilities are combined. |
Using the [Quest Info] window, you can view what drops in the current quest, along with enemies that appear in the quest. |
When you equip a Mag, the strength and stats of the Mag will be added to your stats. |
When you give an item to your Mag, it can raise its level. |
Feeding your Mag will recover its energy. |
When your Mag levels up enough, it will evolve into a more powerful Mag. |
When you receive a title at the [Title Counter], you can also earn items. |
At the Class Counter, you can change classes and learn skills. |
Many weapons have associated Gear skills. Each one has different beneficial effects. |
If you try to join a party but find that it's full, see if there is another party in the same area. That way, you can still play with them! |
When you select [Participate as Another Party] in the Quest Counter, both parties can play together in Multi-Party Areas. |
Some Client Orders are repeatable. |
Clearing certain Client Orders may give you access to more areas and/or abilities. |
You can send someone a Good Job from the [Nearby Characters] option in the menu. |
You can earn FUN for the FUN scratch by sending or receiving a Good Job. |
In [Communication History], you can see recent Good Job and their comments. |
In [Communication History], you can see the players you've recently played with. |
In [Character Info], you can see your current status and effects, along with how long they will last. |
Logging in on consecutive days will earn you more FUN points. |
Using [Nearby Characters], you can invite people to your party, or even befriend them. |
By selecting [My Data] and then [Edit Title / ARKS Card], you can edit your information. |
By selecting [Imitate], you can copy the lobby action of the character you're closest to. |
The higher rarity an item has, the lower it's chances to successful grind. |
You can use NetCafe Premium by logging on from a certified internet cafe. |
You will earn NetCafe Points by playing from an authorized internet cafe, depending on your play time. |
While Premium is active, you can sell items in your shop. |
While Premium is active, you can trade with other users who also have Premium. |
While Premium is active, you will receive more FUN points. |
While Premium is active, you can store up to 400 items in the Premium Storage. |
In the item list/various shops, you can select multiple items with <%MultiSelect>. |
Using the keyboard, you can copy an item's name by pressing [Ctrl] + [C] while it's highlighted. |
If you sell an item by mistake, you can immediately get it back by selecting [Buy back]. |
In the Beauty Salon on the second floor, you can change your character's appearance. |
In the Campship, you can call Friend Partners from the kiosk near the medical and shop terminals. |

By using various items when grinding gear, you can raise the grind success chance and reduce the risk from failure. |
You can specify the channel you wish to use in your text - Start it with "/t" for team, "/p" for party, and "/a" for nearby. |
PSE level rise effects are dependent on the area they take place in. |
A Cross Burst is when more than one burst occurs at once. |
During certain weather effects (including thunderstorms in the forest or the aurora in the skies of the Tundra), PSE can be leveled up easier. |
You can check your recent logins by using [Login History] at the [Start Menu]. |

You can call partners of people you have not friended by selecting [Free Partner] from the partner terminal in the Campship. |

As you level your class, your subclass will level as well (to a certain point). |
Using [Teams currently looking for members] in the Visiphone allows you to find a team that is recruiting members. |
The PA and skills your support partner will use are based on their personality. |
Your support partner's stats increase based on the rarity of their gear. |
The performance of your support partner is not affected by their unit's stats. However, their HP and attack power is increased slightly as the rarity of the units increases. |
As your relationship with your support partner improves, the number of orders they can take at once increases. |
Your support partner can help with Client Orders that are partially completed, or not completed at all. |
By selecting [Craft] from the Visiphone, you can craft, search for crafters, and learn craft recipes. |

You can increase your crafting level by doing various crafts. |
In the Options menu, you can change the color of the information above players to show whether or not they are in a party. |

By selecting [EPISODE 4] at login, you can use the storyboard to experience events in EPISODE 4. |

You can obtain a Collection Sheet from Pudding, which allows you collect items and exchange them for rare weapons. |
You can purchase Star Gems from the [Purchase Star Gems] item in the AC Menu. |
During certain looping lobby actions, you can press <%NormalAttack> or <%PhotonArts> in the middle of the loop to change the behavior of the lobby action. |
With certain lobby actions, you can select [Reaction] on another player to do the matching 'reaction' lobby action. |
Some pets (such as 'Wanda') can be evolved into a higher grade pet (such as 'Jinga') through Rarity Evolution with an egg of the higher grade. |
If you are unsure about which skills to get, try picking "Set Recommended". |
It is possible to set Lobby Actions as favorites in the [Perform Lobby Action] menu. This makes it much easier to perform your most frequently used Lobby Actions. |
You can set the appearance of other players' Dark Blasts in your Dark Blast settings. |
You can copy the name of an item by highlighting it in the item list and pressing Ctrl+C. |
My Room

While using Premium, you gain two additional room layouts: A and B. |
From the Quick Menu, you can go to your team room, or your own room. |
If you put a jukebox in your room, you can register music discs to unlock new BGMs for use. |
The room good used to configure your support partner, the Partner Console, can be purchased from the My Room shop. |

When a Team Master has not logged in for 30 days, a Manager can assume control of the team. |
You can lock/unlock the room from the "Team Expansion" menu. |

Non-team members cannot see the contents of the Team Bulletin Board, Team Counter, Team Storage, etc. |

In a Challenge Quest, each area is called a 'mission'. The goal of the quest is to clear the specified missions. |
In Challenge Quests VR energy serves as a time limit. You can extend this time limit by picking up energy capsules. |
You cannot extend the time limit beyond the designated maximum for each Challenge Quest, even by picking up energy capsules. |
VR energy drains slowly over time. When a player is incapacitated, it will fall drastically. |
By using a Moon Atomizer to revive an incapacitated player, you can recover VR energy lost when they fell. |
In Challenge Quests you can drop weapons and units on the ground. The maximum number of items that can be dropped is 160. |
Upon advancing to certain missions in a Challenge Quest, you will reach an Interval Area. Your VR energy will not drain while in this area. |
During a Challenge Quest, you can get items, units and weapons from Recycle Shops in Interval Areas. |
During a Challenge Quest, if any player reaches the Interval Area, all other players in the Mission will be forcibly transferred as well. |
If you are transported to an Interval Area during a Challenge Quest while incapacitated, VR energy will not be recovered. |
You will be awarded Challenge Miles based on your Challenge Quest results, but you can also earn them by picking up Mile Crystals. |
You will receive bonus Challenge Miles when you clear a Challenge Quest based on how few people you have in your party and how few times you were incapacitated. |
In Challenge Quests, various class skills have been made into disks. You can freely choose which skills to learn based on your preferences and the needs of the party. |
You can exchange Challenge Miles for a variety of items and other rewards at the Challenge Mile Shop on your home Ship. |
You can use the Challenge Monument to check your Challenge Quest ranking. |

When you move to the Challenge Lobby, your Item Pack size will temporarily be set to 100 slots. |
When you move to the Challenge Lobby, your maximum number of Weapon Palettes and Subpalettes will temporarily be set to 6. |
Daily Boost Effects, Support Photon Effects, Timed Effects, Live Stage Effects and Quest Clear Boosts do not apply in Challenge Quests. |
Most boost items do not apply their effects in Challenge Quests. Their remaining time does not count down. |
Your ARKS Card on the Shared Ship is separate from your ARKS Card on your home Ship. |

Enemies
Loading Tips |

Rockbear's face is a weak point. You should try to lock onto the face to attack it. |
When Rockbear gets angry, it'll continuously body slam. To get around this, try moving behind it to make it stop. |
Although Rockbear's grab is powerful, it's possible to break free by pressing the movement keys rapidly. |
Rockbear has a powerful attack where it'll spin and hit behind itself. When you see it lift one foot up, it's about to use this attack. |
When the De Malmoth lifts its front legs and trumps their trunk, they are about to use a shockwave attack. Run away from the De Malmoth before they stomp. |
The weakness of the De Malmoth is its back. If you can get on its back, you can attack the headpiece directly. |
The De Malmoth has wide attacks, but it should be relatively easy to dodge these and stay on its side. |
Burn is extremely effective against De Malmoth. You should attack with fire-based weapons and fire Techniques. |
When you destroy all the claws of the Fang Banther, it will be put off balance, giving you a chance to attack. |
When the Fang Banther is angry, it will continuously rush. Try not to attack, but concentrate on avoiding these attacks. |
If the Fang Banther steps to the right, then the left, it's about to roar. The roar's attack range is wide, so try to get as far as you can from it. |
Burn is extremely effective against the Fang Banther. Even if they're in a tree, burning the Fang Banther will drop it to the ground. |
When you destroy all the claws of the Snow Banther, it will be put off balance, giving you a chance to attack. |
