Equipment Extension overwrites the existing stats and innate bonuses of weapons or units in order to make them stronger. It can be performed at a Crafting or My Room Terminal in your room with crafting materials and a meseta fee.

Damage Variance
Damage variance is tied in with how critical hits work in PSO2. The weapon's ATK written in its details window is the maximum amount of damage the weapon can deal, or a critical hit.
7★+ weapons naturally have a variance of about 10% around the maximum but crafted weapons don't have that damage value in exchange for their higher maximum ATK. Crafting to minimum Silva-materials tier can reduce the variance and make it similar to a non-crafted weapon.
Alternatively DEX can be increased to reduce the variance. Swiki has a detailed breakdown.
Modifying Equip Conditions
Additional Classes
Additional classes can be added via a Great Success or by using an AC Scratch item. The AC Scratch items are regular and cycle between scratches.
Re-crafting a weapon after additional classes are added removes the additional class.
Tacts and New-Type weapons cannot be crafted.
Changing Stat Requirements
Stat requirements can be swapped or reduced by using items. A Great Success also has the chance to reduce the required stat necessary.
Equipment Reset
Equipment can be reset to its original state with Excubes and 100,000 Meseta. Owner registration and timed abilities are not removed.
Removing these requires an Owner Registration Cancellation Pass from the Excube Exchange Shop.
Weapon Extension (OT)
Recipes are divided by weapon type and rarity, e.g.:
- Beginner Striking Weapon
- Intermediate Ranged Weapon
- 10★ Technique Weapon
New recipes need to be unlocked in order to be used.
Currently, 12★+ weapons have no recipes and therefore cannot be crafted.

Recipe Unlocks
How to unlock each of the recipes is in the table below.
Cost assumes levelling from 0 via cheapest unlock requirements, with no requests or Daily Craft.

Recipes not yet unlocked can be requested from other players. Re-crafting the same recipe increases the chance of a Great Success.
Weapon Extension (NT)
New Type Weapon Extension follows many of the same rules as OT Weapon Exception, with the following additions:
- Recipes do not need to be unlocked, all Recipes are open by default.
- All Weapons within the 1★ to 12★ rarity tiers use the same Recipe.
- Recipes are available for 13★ New Type weapons.

Unit Extension
Extending units overwrites all bonuses, including innate bonuses, except for set effects. This means a 4★ unit extended to Ex.3 has the same stats as an 11★ unit extended to Ex.3.
Sub units cannot be crafted.
Equip requirements for units are generally much higher than the equip requirements for extended weapons.
Craft Types
There are six types of Unit crafts:
Each Special craft is considered to be at the same extend level as a regular craft. For example, a unit crafted at Ex.7 can be extended to regular Ex.7, regular Ex.8, or Special Ex.8. A unit at regular or special Ex.8 can be crafted as regular Ex.8, Special Ex.8, or regular Ex.9.
Crafted Values
Recipes not yet unlocked can be requested from other players.
