Enemies
Strategy
Phase change with background/bgm change occurs at 60% HP. At 45% HP, will use his ultimate attack.
Generally shares moveset with Elga Masquerade in Story Quest 5-6, but lack voice cues for attacks, with the addition of the following:
- His projectile attacks are far stronger
- Anti-air combo - used if you are higher above him than the height of two jumps. Omega Masquerade will teleport up to your height and execute a 3 hit combo in mid-air teleporting between each hit.
- Anti-air barrier - if you are above the height of the broken pillars and you do not move, your damage will be gradually reduced culminating in a 99% damage output reduction. Moving below the height will restore your damage.
Attack Nullification Barrier
Omega Masquerade eventually gains immunity to attacks that are used against him repeatedly. Initially, any attack that causes 20% of his overall HP in damage will be nullified, appearing to hit a barrier and doing no damage. The first time an attack is nullified, an animation will play showing Omega Masquerade putting up the barrier, this animation will interrupt any attack he is currently doing. As depth increases, the threshold for Omega Masquerade gaining immunity to attacks lowers, meaning you must use a greater variety of attacks against him (see below). Any source of damage can be blocked, and if it is blocked, it has no effect. For example, if Omega Masquerade gains immunity to Weak Bullet, the Weak Bullet effect will no longer be applied. Each PA, Tech, Normal Attack (first, second, third), Step Attack, Damaging Weapon Action, Activated Skill, Weapon Potential Effect (ie. Gear Experience's Counter) all count as different attacks. Additionally, Certain PA and Techs utilized at different levels of charge and at different levels of weapon gear for certain weapons (knuckles, twin daggers, etc) each count as different attacks.
High Rarity Weapon Bonus
Certain high-rarity weapons do additional damage to Omega Masquerade, as confirmed by Sega.
- Atlas Ex series and Austere-NT series weapons have a bonus of an additional (140 - current depth)% damage. Lightstream Xion series weapons have a bonus of an additional (200 - current depth)% damage.
- For example, on depth 1, using an Atlas Ex weapon, you will gain an additional +139% damage - in other words, your damage will be multiplied by x2.39; whereas on depth 80, you will only gain an additional +60% damage (or x1.6 multiplier).
- This effect only applies to depths 110 and below. At depth 111 and beyond, the damage bonus is 0.
- Some series have been reported to have a damage bonus as well - these include the Ares-NT series, Zara series, and Phobos series. However, the damage bonus is far lower than that of the weapons, and quickly becomes 0 as depth increases.
Depth
Depth is a special mechanic unique to this Quest that gauges how much progress you have made in defeating Omega Masquerade. When playing the Quest for the first time, the Quest starts at Depth 1, which indicates the enemy Level and difficulty. Every time the Quest is cleared at the highest reached Depth, the maximum Depth increases by 1.
As Depth increases, Omega Masquerade's Level increases and his AI and attacks change, but in return rewards become greater.

- Note: The Megiverse healing nerf stacks multiplicatively with the regular healing nerf. This means that, in Depth 30 (where this starts), Megiverse will heal only 0.6% of damage dealt.
- This number is found through the formula:
0.2 x 0.05 x [(100 - RegularHealNerf) / 100]
.
- This number is found through the formula:
- The change at Depth 100 results in three different timings for the final hit of the sword combos: normal, slightly delayed, and very delayed.
- Applies to the downward overhead smash in phase 1, and the big uppercut in phase 2
- For the change at Depth 400, Omega Masquerade will vanish shortly after executing the first post-time stop slash or grab, and immediately follow up with a second one which has increased speed if the first one is blocked or avoided.
- If the first grab attack hits, the second will not be used.
- The tracking for the second grab attack is improved compared to the first
- The second grab can be skipped by gaining sufficient height after the first grab.
- The change at Depth 500 results in the teleporting around animation being skipped. The first grab attack will be executed immediately after Omega Masquerade does the hand-on-face pose. The second grab attack immediately after is unchanged.
- Malice: Omega Masquerade at Depths which are multiples of 150 (150, 300, 450, etc) does massively increased damage if your S/R/T-DEF is low, while if it is high, you will only take 1 damage from all attacks (poison ticks and injury HP reduction apply as normal).
- Rappy Shine is not recommended. Instead consider Deband drink, team tree DEF up buff, Deband buff, and units affixed with DEF.
- The amount of DEF needed to reduce damage to 1 is approximately 1900 at depth 150
- The amount of DEF needed to reduce damage to 1 is approximately 2000 at depth 300
- The amount of DEF needed to reduce damage to 1 is approximately 2100 at depth 450
- The amount of DEF needed to reduce damage to 1 is approximately 2200 at depth 600
Drops
Drops are the same in all Depths, but rare drop rates are higher in higher Depths.
