Matterboard

Matterboards are available upon selecting Episode 1-3 on character selection and any new characters created after Episode 4 will start from Matterboard 1. Completing the matterboard goal and completing the story quest will unlock a new matterboard to progress.

There are 4 emblems rewarded for complete Episode 1-3 with goal, another 4 for achieving all the nodes amd the Emblems can be obtain from title reward counter. Emblems can be used to exchange Genesis Weapons camos.

Xion will hand out matterboards to you, giving you cryptic messages and appears to know you for Episode 1 and partially of Episode 2, the remaining matterboards is handed out by Xiao.

Episode 1

Plot summary

MC is new ARK recruit and teams up with another recruit, Elfin to go on training in Naberius however they are interrupted with sudden appearance of Darkers and able escape to safety with veteran ARKs, Xeno and Echo. MC will meet unfortunate ARK who saw a girl getting attacked by Darkers and fails to save her eventually encounter Xion whom they can only see and hand them their first matterboards that sends back in time to save the girl and meets attacking mysterious figure who seems to know them but saved by Gilliam searching for strong opponents. MC meets various ARKS in the ship and encounters Rogio who reports unusual abnormalities in data of darkers behaviour, requests you to assist him in obtaining and researching data. During your exploration, a Darker moves on oppposite of yours in search for something and nothing useful found at the end MC exploration however the matterboard sends you back in time and instead decide to follow the darkers to see what they are looking for. MC finds an artifact and takes it with them but the mysterious person appears and demands the artifact whilst drawing their weapons. Xeno and Echo appears and protects the MC, fights and defeat the mysterious stranger who retreats. MC find Zieg who motivation returns after seeing the artifacts is powerful weapon and request the MC to find other two parts so it can be repaired and used. MC next missions takes them to lillipa, encounters strange shadow and meets Fourier which leads them in discovering small creatures lillipians on the planet as well finding the second artifacts. ARKS next mission involved in volcanic caves, helps Aki and her assistant Light in gaining Dragonkins trust and fights Kelo to obtain the final artifact. Zieg completes the weapon but it disappears during the invasion of darkers on ship. With Ruins discovered on Naberious, the MC encounters Xeno and Echo during exploration eventually meetin Casra. During the exploration, they find Gilliam has taken the artifact and using to unseal the ruins but in process get possesed and turned into Falz Elder. MC and others fight but Elder turning stronger, Xeno and Casra remain behind to fight elder whilst MC retreats with wounded ARK and Echo campship. Whilst on campship, Elder turns into giant form, Dark Falz Elder and takes off from planet. Casra returns but the unknown fate of Xeno leaves Echo devastated. MC will encounter mysterious girl who can cloak herself in pursuit of Hadre.

There are total of 11 chapters in Episode 1, with 1-11 being a gaiden that is not necessary for the 観測者を知る者 and 観測者の使者 titles.

Episode 2

Plot summary

Continuing off from Episode 1, Luther appears whilst MC is talking to Xion and cannot see her but calls out to Xion as he is able to sense her. Whilst progressing through the ARKs and investigating the abnormalities, the MC alters the timeline with help of Xiao saving an ARK who will eventually become a counciller of six pillar and non-combatant staff who later becomes the president of the ARKS organisation. Due to the investigations into Luther plans, the MC upon travelling to mothership with Matoi to save Xion however the whole ARKS organisation has branded MC as traitor due to Luther influence and Regius invokes Emergency Code: Abyss to stop the MC. Battling though numbers of ARKs on the mothership, the MC will eventually see friends whom he/she worked with and successfully defeat them but will not let the MC through until Matoi mysterious power bring them back to their senses. MC's friends apologies by fighting of sudden appearances of Darkers, the MC will eventually meet up with 2 council members and 1 newest counciller will appear at MC side during MC encounter with other concillers. Fight breaks out between council due to conflict of interests but ceased and work together to fight clone sudden appearances whilst MC progress through mothership. MC and Matoi will reach the core but are too late in stopping Luther from merging with Xion however Luther is not able to obtain the powers and in his fury he will become a Falz and MC will battle him, later change into Dark Falz Angel which MC defeats. Luther unable to accept defeats which summon Dark Photons spread across the mothership and becomes Dark Falz Loser. After defeating Loser, Xiao is curious by left over data from Xion and sends MC back in time to explore, encounter young Xeno and teaches him to become a good ARK. The MC will encounter Second Claris Claes who mistake MC for a Darkers due to Clarissa and run off searching for more Darkers and battle with Apprentice. After more encounter with Claris Claes who becomes interested in MC, makes a promise to the usual place and goes of to fight Apprentice who is attacking the ARKS Ship. Claris Claes will meet young girl and leaves Clarissa with the girl to protect her to look for help, heads deep into ship to look for Apprentice. The MC arrives and encounter the young girl, taking Clarissa and runs towards the location of Claris Claes battling Apprentice using ARKS as shield but manages to defeat her. MC appears and attends to Claris Claes who is stabbed with sword infected with Dark Photon by MC who reveals to be mysterious person from Episode 1. MC leaves Clarissa with Claris Claes to slow down the Dark Photon and battle the mysterious person which stops after Claris Claes decide to use Clarissa to kill herself from turning into profound darkness.

Episode 3

Plot summary
New episode takes place in Kuron planet, MC is hounded by the mysterious figure to use the opportunity to finish Matoi before she turns into profound darkness but the MC refuses.
