Overview

  • Double Saber Arts specialize in the art of numbers; that is, inflicting weak hits at an alarmingly high rate to rack up staggering damage.
  • Home to Fighter's main crowd control options, with the ability to draw targets in and take out swaths of enemies at once.
  • Lacks chasing options, unlike Fighter's other weapons.
  • Mostly short ranged, with some exceptions; this makes it difficult to work with in high-intensity environments that involve highly mobile targets.
  • Higher skill cap than most weapons.

    • Description is misleading, as the strongest slash is the first one, not the last one.
  • It can be compared to Rumbling Moon, as both PAs are similar, but Scissor Edge does its powerful attack first, while Rumbling Moon does its powerful attack last.

  • When used on the ground, moves forwards slowly.
  • It can be compared to Scissor Edge, as both PAs are similar, but Scissor Edge does its powerful attack first, while Rumbling Moon does its powerful attack last.

  • One of the best bossing PAs, dealing great damage over time with good DPS and DPP.

  • Jumps into the air while moving towards the target, then slams the ground, hitting anything nearby.
  • Does 4 hits: 3 while jumping, then another one when slamming the ground.
    • The first 3 hits deal 14% of the noted power each, and the slam does 58% of the noted power.
    • The slam causes Stun.
    • The aoe of the slam is deceptively wide, hitting a circle around you of about 1.5x Step of distance away in all directions.
  • When used in the ground, the traveled distance and speed are based on how far the target is. Farther = faster.
  • When used in the air, horizontal movement is severely limited, barely moving at all.
    • It takes about the same amount of time to perform in the air as if used on the ground, despite not needing to start with a jump.
    • As such, aerial use of this PA is not recommended, and Tornado Dance should be used instead for aerial enemies.
  • One of the best mobbing PAs, as it's fast and hits hard. It's easily possible to kill most SH difficulty non-boss enemies in a single hit with just the slam portion of this PA.

  • Throws the weapon forwards, which then starts spinning in place for some time, dealing damage to anything it touches.
  • The thrown blade stops at a specific distance from the user, and goes through targets until it reaches that distance.
    • The distance at which the blade stops is actually dictated by the user's height. Taller characters will throw the blade farther than short ones.
    • Because of this, it may be difficult to make good use of this PA, as the user needs to know the actual distance it'll stop on.
  • Charging increases the distance where the thrown blade stops, and the amount of hits.
  • Does 7 hits when uncharged, and 11 hits when charged.
    • Each hit does 9% of the noted power, for a total of 63% uncharged and 99% charged.

  • Does 3 slashes, then performs a backwards somersault with the last slash.
  • Cannot be cancelled with Step during the somersault animation.
  • Does 4 hits.
    • Each hit does 25% of the noted power.
    • All hits are considered to be aerial, even if the PA is used on the ground. As such, the Potential.png Aerial Break potential works with the whole PA even if used in the ground.
  • This PA has frontal Just Guard frames starting from the first slash until the end of the somersault.
    • Do note that it only starts when the first slash actually hits, meaning it is not instant, and should be used slightly early.

  • Throws the weapon, which starts spinning in a counterclockwise motion around the user.
  • Does up to 6 hits to any enemy at very close range, and up to 3 hits at a slightly wider radius, depending on the position of the enemy and the spinning blade, for a total of 1 to 9 hits.
    • Each hit does 9% of the noted power, for a total of 99% when all hits connect (which doesn't happen very often).
  • Charging increases radius of the aoe.
  • Vertical range is very limited, as the weapon actually spins at a low height, so it might be necessary to use it above the desired target to hit specific spots.

  • Charging increases the number of hits, and increases aoe.
  • Does 7 hits when uncharged, and 11 hits when charged.
    • Each hit does 9% of the noted power, for a total of 63% uncharged, and 99% charged.
    • Unlike the uncrafted version, every hit connects to all enemies inside the aoe, meaning damage is no longer reliant on positioning of enemies or the spinning blade.
  • Has 360° Just Guard frames throughout the entirety of its animation (about 2 seconds), until the Just Attack ring disappears.
    • Because it's charged, allowing for easy setup with the charge, and has such long JG frames, it synergizes really well with Healing Guard, allowing for massive healing if used before a multihit attack, such as Zeta Guranz's machineguns, or after dragging multiple enemies that can't be knocked down with Chaos Riser, such as Goldrahda.

    • If an enemy has a part broken by this attack, they will not be dragged to you.
  • Cannot be cancelled with Step until the animation is completely finished.

  • Throws a projectile, that starts a tornado, dragging enemies nearby towards it, and then explodes the tornado.
  • This PA actually consists of 3 steps:
    • Throwing the projectile.
      • Projectile stops if it hits an enemy, wall or reaches maximum range.
      • Does 30% of the noted power if it hits an enemy.
      • Maximum range is 3 Steps.
    • After it stops moving, generates a tornado that drags enemies nearby towards it.
      • Tornado lasts about 3 seconds.
      • Tornado deals no damage.
      • Suction power is about the same as uncharged Zondeel.
      • Does not stack with itself. If this PA is used while a tornado is already in place, cancels the previous tornado.
    • If the Weapon Action is performed while the tornado is in place, detonates it, damaging all affected enemies.
      • Detonation actually drags enemies towards the tornado, similarly to Ilzan.
      • Because this step requires a Weapon Action, it spends all Gear to be used.
      • Just Attack for this step applies based on the moment the weapon action is used, not the moment of the projectile being launched.
  • Power and aoe of the detonation is amplified by the amount of gear.
